Names....

So many of you know that we were planning on naming our lil guy Michael. But we can't really decided and keep changing our minds. So for now it's Baby Silva and when he arrives we will pick out a name. It could be my pregnancy hormones that keep me undecided, who knows. Matt and I are getting really excited though! I'll be off bed rest in 2 weeks and 6 days as of now! That's not that far away! So exciting, because he could come anytime after that! I'll be 36 weeks by then so we will see!!!! Yesterday I (Giana) put the bouncer together! Yes I can be handy! It was a lot of fun! I keep having dreams where my lil guy is in my arms! I'm so excited to hold, cuddle and love on him!!!! I also can't wait for everyone to meet him! Well that's it for now! Hope everyone has a great new years!!!! Hello 2009!

Christmas Festivities!

So Merry Christmas everyone! Christmas eve was spent with my family. We played some Wii and then had a great dinner at Bucca Di Beppo here in Sacramento! So yummy! Christmas day was with Matt's family at his sister's house here in Sac. We had a great time opeing gifts and having a great meal! Matt and I are just so excited about next Christmas and sharing it with our lil man who is on his way! The latest from the dr. is that I'm on modified bed rest till 36 weeks and I'm also on the contraction meds till then too.... so when you think about it baby silva could come in 23 days!!!! On Jan. 17th I'll be 36 weeks! It's coming faster then we thought be we are so excited! Hope you all had a great Christmas! Hugs and Kisses from us!!!!

Some Holiday Belly Pics

It's beginning to feel a little more like Christmas!

So I got to leave the couch yesterday! It was so nice! We went to my sister in law's house for some early Christmas fun! We celebrated with my younger Sister in law and her daughter and step daughters. It was so much fun watching the kids open gifts. It's funny now that I'm pregnant and going to me a mom soon to see kids open gifts, when it seems like I was just a kid not that long ago! I'm so excited for next Christmas to have lil Michael here and watch him enjoy his first Christmas!


Last night I even got Matt to drive me to the "Christmas Tree Lane" of Sacramento/Roseville. It was so much fun. The rest of Matt's family walked and we drove (and yes I stayed reclined in the seat with feet up on the dash, so I didn't put pressure on my cervix) It was really neat because as most of you know Matt and I love Disney and all the houses were all themed out with Disney movies. Each house had a different movie. We enjoyed talking about all of our favorites!
The whole day really made it feel like Christmas time. Since I'm stuck on bed rest I'm not able to put out my decorations so It was so nice to have a change of scenery. I hope you all have a great Christmas!

Nursery!!!!

So the nursery is all put together! Vicki and my parents came up today to Sacramento to help with some stuff around the house and Vicki (little miss Decorator) made the nursery look so cute and functional! Hopefully now lil Michael will wait to come till after 35 weeks!!!!

So bed rest is getting a lil better. I've got lots of things to keep me busy now! Michael is constantly moving around and now likes to kick or punch my left hip bone... it feels sooooo weird and kind of hurts. He's now around 3 lbs and according to all my baby books should gain half of a pound every week!!!! So amazing how fast they grow! I'm still having little contractons every now and then but nothing significant.

Back from the Dr.

Hello, back from my first outing in a week! Went and met with the high risk doctor. I'm still dilated to a 1.5. Michael's head is down and low, which means he kicks me in my ribs =) Everything looks good and he looks healthy! Got a few pics of him! The only news I wasn't so excited about is that I have to stay on bed rest till at least 34 weeks and today i'm 30 weeks and 3 days. Once I hit 34 weeks they will probably let me get up more and move around. So looks like the holidays will be spent up here in Sacramento. I'm so glad that everything looked great though! It's such a blessing! I have lost 2 lbs due to bed rest so I need to find a way to exercise my legs and arms at least so I don't loose all muscle tone. I go back to meet with the dr. in two weeks. I guess that will be my next outing! Something to look forward too!

A new place to relax

So my cat peanut now has a new place to relax... yep my belly! Now that I spend all my day on the couch Peanut has found a comfy cuddle place. Thought it was way cute. Michael is always moving in my belly and it's funny to watch Peanut move up and down when he kicks! Just wanted to share!

Hello

Hello! So I thought that this would be a great way to keep everyone updated on what's going on in the Silva home now that I'm on bed rest.
So today is day 5 of bed rest at home. Yesterday because my baby shower was canceled until lil Michael arrives some close family and friends came up for the afternoon and we had a mini shower! It was so nice to see and visit with friends and family. Being up here in Sacramento can get a lil lonely. Here are some pics.
